Sleeping in
Ah it was soooo nice to sleep in for once. I slept until I woke up. I woke up exactly 8.5 hours after I turned off the light and went to sleep last night. Now I know. I need 8 and a half hours of sleep to feel great in the morning. Usually I get around 7 hours of sleep at night. Not enough. I always feel groggy and not alert and less than focused.
Today I feel great!
Sleep is so underrated. Why do companies not provide nap rooms for their employees? How often do you think any random employee has taken a bathroom break just to catch a cat nap in their car, sitting at the company picnic table, or maybe even curled up under their office desk? Just 15 minutes!
There ought to be nap rooms at every place of employment. People could bring their own mats - like the ones they had in kindergarten - they would be grown-up, cool and comfortable ones like thermarest matresses or something. And it would be completely normal and OK and even cool to have siesta time at work. It would make the "coolness" of smoking breaks look insane. The nappers would be the happier, more alert, more focused, more productive, more creative and all around superior employees. The smokers would be the nervous, agitated, snappy, drug dependent, cranky and all around uncool employees. Not that a person is inherently nervous, agitated, snappy, drug dependent, cranky or uncool just because they suck SMOKE into their LUNGS on a regular basis. I know. It's a bad habit. And we all have bad habits...
To much of anything brings unbalance.
And I feel better when things are balanced.
Last night I had a good sleep. Didn't sleep to little, didn't sleep to much. Lagom.
