Pahgh!
The boys have the TV hostage, playing a rented Star Wars game while I have a Finding Neverland DVD due back tomorrow that I would kinda like to see. They have until 8pm and then it's my turn!!
Well, Z is feeling better. He stayed home again today (after he gave it an honest effort this morning at school,) because his teacher called and asked J to come get him since he just wasn't back to his old self yet. After 4 days of stomach bug he's pretty weak. I brought home REAL ginger ale (Reed's) yesterday and he drank it all. Today on my home from work I stopped and picked up all natural organic veggies, free-range chicken broth and chicken and made a chicken noodle soup. I also made corn bread, the really yummy recipe from the War Eagle Mill, and I forgot to add the salt to the corn bread batter. It made a huge difference... the corn bread, though flavored heartily with honey, just didn't have the "delicious" factor without the salt.
Make a note, everyone, don't forget the salt when you are mixing your corn bread batter.
Haha! J just called to me from the living room,
"Hey, you ought to come play this game!"
And I called back, "Nah, I just don't get those controllers..."
And he's like, "It's not hard, once you figure it out,"
to which I reply, "You ought to write a blog!"
"I don't want to write a blog," he says as he spits his tobacco spit into the spittoon.
