Chucks, etc.

At lunch today I went to exchange a pair of black shoes I bought yesterday (but somehow managed to grab a 1/2 size bigger pair without realizing it) and when the store didn't have my size in that shoe I was bummed out because I really liked those little black shoes so I started looking around and then I noticed the Converse All Stars were on sale, and there was one pair on sale for $15.00 which is pretty darn good, seeing how they are normally $40, and I've never had a pair of Converse, and thought, hmm, so I tried them on and they felt great so I bought my first ever pair of chucks today. After all that shoe shopping I got pretty hungry so on the way back to the office I stopped by the market and grabbed some salad stuff for lunch and while there I just happened to walk down the aisle with the school supplies where a big box of 96 crayons sat on the shelf looking at me like a sad puppy so I rescued the box of crayons from it's sad life on the shelf and put it n my cart along with a bag of lettuce, a cucumber, and a small box of cherry tomatoes.
After lunch I went to an office offsite event, you know, where it's all about getting out of the office and doing something non-work related. We went to a bead shop and made stuff. Before going I sketched a few design ideas, coloring them with, you guessed it, my new crayons.

Here is the result, a necklace and a bracelet.

Oh, and at home I've harvested the very last basil leaves, and this weekend I'll mulch out the remaining garden growth - much of it weeds now. These leaves filled two quart sized freezer bags. Pretty awesome!

And here I am this afternoon outside on the patio on a September Friday in the late afternoon sun wearing my new chucks, brown and pink.
