making pico de gallo
Z eats a strawberry while he watches me chop the onion for the pico de gallo:
"Mom, do onions have layers?"
"Yes."
"I thought so."
"Why did you think so?"
"SHREK. Remember that part where Shrek, what is he called really? oh, yeah, ogre... and Donkey are in that place with the giant sunflowers?"
"Um, no. Is that where you heard about onions having layers?"
"Yes."
"Mom, do onions have layers?"
"Yes."
"I thought so."
