Sunny and a Stuffy Nose on Fathers Day

It's fathers day here in the USA today. It's also sunny and warm. And I have a lovely sinus pressury stuffy nose to help me really enjoy the day.

We've just come home from a little shopping trip. Besides a smoker for a fathers day present we also came home with a box of tissue (for me and my nose), a pack of camera batteries (for my little Olympus), and green tea (for good health.) It takes a little getting used to that green tea flavor. It's good for me. So it has to taste a little bad. Right?

While the father of this household is putting together the new smoker I am on the internet searching recipes and instructions. Not really. I'm doing this, a little bloggyblog. But how could wait to post these cute pictures of the kids picking blueberries? One of Z's friends and his sister came with us while their mom had to work awhile yesteday afternoon.

We have a nice salmon ready to smoke. I can't wait! We have no idea what we are doing. That's why I'm on the internet... to figure it out. Barbecuing. BBQ.

In a minute I'll start on a blueberry cobbler using blueberries we picked yesterday at the blueberry pickin' place down the road. These are not like Swedish blueberries. They are larger and not as tart, but they are also less flavorful in general. Still, they make a great cobbler! I think I'll use the recipe here.

Mmmm. Green tea tastes great when you can't smell it.
