Olympic wa-wa-wah

We just got our normal sized flat screen TV back from the TV repair shop today.
They finally got The Part and repaired the damage from the lightening strike a couple of months ago.
So I guess we can rent some new release DVDs and get our share of screen entertainment again.

Or we could watch the Olympics...

Or not.

I think the number one reason NOT to watch the Olympics is the talking heads.
I just wonder sometimes. Because some of the athletes don't get much coverage during the prime time viewing on the national network. Is it my imagination, or does it seem like we only hear about awesome athletes from other countries when they are a strong contender to one of the USA athletes?
That swimmer guy, whatshisname, is already in a cell phone company commercial. Makes me kinda tilt my head to the side and squint one eye for a second.

We will be watching olymics on TV now that we have the TV back on its perch in the living room. We will watch as these super-specimens of the human race perform and inspire us. And sometimes they get really happy and wave their flag around when they win. No matter what country they are from.
