The tube
Some folks I know don't even own a TV. By choice. They simply don't have one anywhere in their house. Not even to watch rented DVD's.
Most of the time, this is what I see when I look at the TV. Nothing.
Last night I don't know what happened.
I ended up watching the season premier of The Bachelor.
Like a car wreck.
Why do I do this? I think it becomes a game to me. And it's not about cheering for so and so, or judging her or her, or him... it's more about the game the producers and the photographers and the game writers are playing. I like to watch for the possible glimpse of the photographers/ cameraman in the reflection of a window or a mirror or of another cameraman trying to lay low and inconspicuous in another part of the room or behind a bush by the pool. Hehe! I love it when I see them! It's like catching fish.
Then there is the game of spotting the girl(s) getting the least amount of airtime, because they will be on later in the show, you see? And those with the greatest amount of airtime early on will likely not last till the very end. It's a sick game.
