Compost

Old garbage that sits around awhile in the sun and rain eventually becomes a nutritious compost that veggies and flowers love love love.

A couple of weeks ago I visited my friends place and had a look at their garden, their compost box design, and their worm farm. The worms in the worm farm produce worm wee (or pee, piddle, urine, tee-tee) which is the best ever garden fertilizer - and it's organic and chemical free.

We don't have a worm farm, but J finally built a compost box. This is it. Not much in it yet.

Ok, so I really don't have time to write. We have to be at the baseball park at 4:30 this afternoon and if we are lucky, and games don't go into overtime, we'll get home before 9 pm. Dinner is on the stovetop and we're wranglin' the boys into their uniform as I type.

The compost box is nice. It feels good to have a special place to heave the garbage, knowing it will be recycled into something beneficial later.
