Tis the Season
Nu skriver jag på Engelska igen - fast jag har funderat lite och jag tror jag kommer att skriva på Svenska då och då, för att träna den liksom. Jag behöver nog träna. Men idag blir det Engelska.
Suddenly, the season is here. There is frost on the rooftops and on the lawns in the morning now. We are wearing heavy jackets. The boys need new long sleeved tops because last year's are too small. Must go shopping for long sleeved tops, sweaters, shirts, for the boys. Suddenly every evening is shorter because the sun goes down so early. This is cozy and nice. This also seems to add a little hurry at the end of the day.

Things I want to do:
- Make my own cookie cutters in shapes that I make up myself.
- Bake lots and lots of pepparkakor.
- Paint the design for our family Christmas cards this year. Must do this this weekend.
- Bake lussebullar again. This time have raisins on hand. The chocolate chips just didn't do it for me.
- Start a craft night with some girlfriends, where we meet once a month and wrk on some crafty something. But I just hate the words"craft" and "crafty." They just sound so 1980's and non-creative. There has to be a better word. Hm.
- Write letters and cards (real. paper. ink. stamps.) to about twelve friends and family ladies. Including illustrations.
- Christmas gift shopping, making.... oh, there is another list all its own.
Thing I have already done.
- Baked. Lussebullar. Kanelbullar. Carrot bread. Amish Ginger Cookies.
- Painted, and digitally enhanced, the International Team's Holiday Card for 2004.
- Completed four redwork president portraits for the Presidential Quilt my mother-in-law is making.
- Drawn something in my sketchbook everyday.
- Knitted and unravelled (times six or seven) a pair of mittens. I need help with this.
Wish List:
- Knitting needles.
- Good paintbrushes. (No more will I allow the kids to use my good paintbrushes.)
- A bag of Kennedy Coffe Espresso whole beans.
- A new desk lamp for the hobby table. One of these.
- Lots and ots and lots of black salty licorice from Finland or Sweden
