Whirrly Weekend
Post Script on top: I wrote this entry at the same time as my husband played a PS2 game called Castle Wolfenstein next to me in this same room. I don't know if that means anything, or what relevance it has, or if it affected what I wrote at all. No, the boys were NOT allowed to watch their dad play this Rated M game.... I feet obligated to include this detail for you, maybe to set the scene somehow.
Lately: Instead of art and photography and home-paging I have been busy lately doing things like baking, painting Christmas cards, gift shopping, gift wrapping, and party going (kids school party, kid birthday party, chick create night) and in this process the time I have each day (24 hours, like everyone else in the world) has been filled to the max. This time of year I would like to have 48 hours a day, please, and maybe only the need for 4 hours of sleep... and bonus time whenever I want to take a nap.
Saturday: Sometime in the mid afternoon I started the dough for homemade pizza. Easy, actually, so don't start thinking I'm trying to be Martha or whatever. Besides, I ended up baking it long enough for the cheese on top to really become golden, and the boys all thought that was yuck, and that's too bad, because I thought it was yum.
After dinner we nixed our plans to go see Santa at the mall and also skipped the plan to go to the downtown square to wander around under the electrical lights and listen to the holiday music piped through the speakers (kind of like in the movie Polar Express.)
Instead we stayed home in our cozy little house.
Today (Sunday:) has been a little quieter. Pancakes for breakfast (because I wanted to pour syrup from the new tin can syrup container shaped like a log cabin) and then a short walk with Peper the dog (because it is a little cold outside for a very long walk) and then I cleaned out the webserver where all the content to my regular webpage has been living. I am looking forward to the non-eventful coasting period right after the holidays, eventhough it never really comes now that I write this and realize how silly that was of me to proclaim.
But there are the New Year Resolutions... I've read a few inspiring takes on the resolution concept. Here is one I especially liked. Maybe I will post my list in the coming days?

There was an article in the paper this morning: Christmas Shoppers, If In Doubt, Buy A Mac. By Johnathon Williams. I enjoyed the article, especially the part about the The Cult of Mac!
I loved this because I have been wanting to replace (iSwitch) to a Mac for a long time, and whenever I mention this to someone (who has not switched) I often get the "But why would you want to do that" questions, and so I explain the about my digital photography requirements, the no virus benefits, and the simplicity ascpects.
Of course, the real reason I want to Switch is so I can join The Cult Of Mac.

Happy Fourth Advent Everyone.
