Pannkakorna
Det var en lång arbetsdag. It was a long work day.
Hämtade pojkarna på skolan kl. 17:56. Picked the boys up from school at 5:56 p.m.
Hemma bestämde jag, No TV Night. Once home, I declared it "No TV Night."
Driving home in the dark is strange and unpleasant to me. After sitting all day in a cube, and then going home in the dark... it's unnatural.
So to make it all better, I made Swedish pancakes for dinner.
Instead of plättar (small sized swedish pancakes) I decided to make the regular sized ones. I don't have a traditional swedish pancake pan (skillet?) so I use this 'tortilla' skillet instead. The pans are really made the same way, I think. Actually. And I think iron is best.
My tortilla/pancake pan is not seasoned very well yet...
So I need to add a little extra butter between each pancake, even though the batter already has about 3 tablespoons of melted butter in it!
But look at how much prettier they are when they are turned over. Mmm. Yumm.
Now the kitchen is cleaned up and the boys are showered and homeworked and relaxed and tucked into bed. The TV is off. Oh the noise I do not miss.
Did I mention it was a long day at work? That makes for a short evening at home....
Good night.
